From last fall, in Manitoulin Island, while photographing a wedding in Mindemoya. Mom and Dad live on a large country lot with horses. Mom and daughter have horses, barn, poop, the whole dealio.
Ir rained most of the day, but we ran out for a few shots to get this and a few other cool photos with horses.

I keep thinking that just about any area, any location would work for a Pop Up Wedding ceremony…..
In all the many, many family portraits I’ve created over the years, where the locations often include the family’s homes, yards, driveways and other spots in Sudbury, like on Ramsay Lake at Science North, it inspires many options.
The possibilities are really endless. I know most folks like trees and nature, and we know there’s a lot of that available. But that doesn’t mean you couldn’t get married just about anywhere. Weather permitting. Setting up for a pop up wedding is light and mobile.
Some recent family portraits I’ve created at some inspiring locales:
This wedding was in their back yard. Small crowd of friends and family, the vows exchanged on the deck facing the back yard.
I always keep an eye out for kids in any wedding I photograph. This little girl grabbed the bubbles and started blowing them during the vows exchange. Love it! Got it! One of my faves…

I was asked. Of course I do! Even though it’s a smaller wedding ceremony, not nearly as much fanfare, the details, scenes and emotions are still there.
Especially the emotions.

Tina and I were chatting with another couple who were considering hiring us for a pop-up wedding in Sudbury. She asked if we can perform one anywhere, anytime.
[Read more…] about “You can do a pop-up wedding anywhere? Some are asking if they can still have an engagement session with their pop-up wedding. It’s something they value and would like to capture that period in their lives with a creative story telling session.
Many even have children, and we always encourage they bring the kid, kids, or if they have a dog, include them in the session….
Here an image outside the same club where they had their first date.
If you’d like to have an engagement session talk to us about the creative options and location ideas.

Wedding in the yard. What a great way to make it personal and homey. All you need is good weather!
We’re hoping for good weather when we host our Pop Up Wedding day event in August…BUT, in case of rain, always, always have a back up plan….You never know…

From a few years ago. I’ve taken many wedding photographs at Fielding Park over the years. It’s darn near perfect, with the trees, grass, forest and pond nearby. And the main building is great too, since, well, we need washroom facilities and shelter in case of rain.
Hoping it doesn’t rain on August 24th when we run our first ever Pop Up Wedding event out at Fielding Park…we’re already half booked!
You can get married just about anywhere. Pop up weddings are very flexible since they have a smaller amount of guests.
