I always look for and try to photograph any details I see when photographing a wedding. This applies to Pop Up Weddings too… why not? Every detail has and holds valuable emotion and memories…
Just about everyone I chat with respond with “What’s a PopUp Wedding?” when I say we started doing Pop Up weddings in and around Sudbury. And, Tina is now a legal wedding officiant.
You know it’s a thing when the Globe and Mail dedicated some press to it.

From last fall, in Manitoulin Island, while photographing a wedding in Mindemoya. Mom and Dad live on a large country lot with horses. Mom and daughter have horses, barn, poop, the whole dealio.
Ir rained most of the day, but we ran out for a few shots to get this and a few other cool photos with horses.

I keep thinking that just about any area, any location would work for a Pop Up Wedding ceremony…..
In all the many, many family portraits I’ve created over the years, where the locations often include the family’s homes, yards, driveways and other spots in Sudbury, like on Ramsay Lake at Science North, it inspires many options.
The possibilities are really endless. I know most folks like trees and nature, and we know there’s a lot of that available. But that doesn’t mean you couldn’t get married just about anywhere. Weather permitting. Setting up for a pop up wedding is light and mobile.
Some recent family portraits I’ve created at some inspiring locales:

I always keep an eye out for kids in any wedding I photograph. This little girl grabbed the bubbles and started blowing them during the vows exchange. Love it! Got it! One of my faves…

Why not? I’ve seen some unusual and creative locations for wedding ceremonies in Costa Rica and up here in Sudury, ONT.
This idea is really great for those having a pop-up wedding. Why? The logistics and ease of organizing something cool at some odd locale is minimized substantially because of smaller guest attendance.
Some examples….:

Of course, the rings are a standard item. You might say a ring is a ring is a ring. Or is it? Of course not. Each set of rings is a valuable symbol that goes back who knows how long in history. I’ve heard it said they represent eternity. I try and still get creative with the rings by placing them in unique spots.
Bobble heads? Well, they say it all… unique and creative!
[Read more…] about Bobble heads and rings…I was asked. Of course I do! Even though it’s a smaller wedding ceremony, not nearly as much fanfare, the details, scenes and emotions are still there.
Especially the emotions.

Tina and I were chatting with another couple who were considering hiring us for a pop-up wedding in Sudbury. She asked if we can perform one anywhere, anytime.
