Tamarindo, Costa Rica is the ideal location for a wedding photographer and a pop up wedding.
I’ve photographed many weddings down here in Costa Rica. No Pop Up weddings…yet. Since the concept of a Pop Up wedding is new-ish, it’s only a matter of time.

[Read more…] about Pop Up Wedding dates in Sudbury 2020There’s two reasons why we occasionally see what we call The Kitchen Table wedding.
The first reason is simple. Some folks don’t want anything fancy, any fanfare or fuss on their wedding day. They simply just want to get married. And the kitchen table is enough.
Others want a kitchen table wedding because they’re planning on getting married at a destination like the Caribbean or Costa Rica or similar. And getting legally married in those countries is way too complex and often expensive. The solution is to get legally married in Ontario, with two witnesses, and have the main ceremony somewhere special, warm and sunny.
This reason we see more often than the first. Destinations weddings are very popular. And having a kitchen table pop up wedding is one way to make it all work out.
Haily & Brad were our last couple last August on our first ever Pop Up Wedding day event. They chose the last time slot and had an amazing sunset ceremony.
Here’s some samples…
When I married Tina in 1995 she had a closet full of shoes. Full!
There was little room for much else. It was then that I realized shoes are a thing with her and many ladies. I always make sure to photograph the brides shoes on her wedding day. Everything, each detail has a memory attached to it.

One of the couples who we had the honour of officiating and photographing on our Pop Up Wedding day last October was Amelie and Kevin.
Here’s but a few samples from that day, both indoor and outside with the fall colours and lake Ramsay…
