I’ve been photographing engagement sessions for a long time. My main photography studio has a long history of wedding and engagement sessions.
Whenever I am asked the main question: When should we have our engagement session done? I always suggest that sooner if better than later.

Why? This time in a couple’s life is magical and hopeful. And soon forgotten. There’s a buzz and electricity in the air.

This time is gone once the wedding happens and life begins. Having a creative and visual keepsake is just nice to have.

It’s just about life and the way events evolve. Similarly, when a couple is expecting a new baby. It’s one reason why maternity portraits are so powerful and popular.

Engagement sessions are often fun, quirky, relaxed, creative and super memorable. It’s why I personally love shooting them.

And even if you are hosting a pop up wedding, this time in your life is just as important as for anyone having a larger event. Why not? Memories are memories and life moves on.
