The main question I get asked is what’s a pop up wedding? The second most popular question asked is: “Is this something we can do in our backyard?”

Why are pop up weddings so popular?
What we’ve discovered after our first year in the Pop Up wedding business and marrying 14 couples…

Why not? I’ve seen some unusual and creative locations for wedding ceremonies in Costa Rica and up here in Sudury, ONT.
This idea is really great for those having a pop-up wedding. Why? The logistics and ease of organizing something cool at some odd locale is minimized substantially because of smaller guest attendance.
Some examples….:

I was asked. Of course I do! Even though it’s a smaller wedding ceremony, not nearly as much fanfare, the details, scenes and emotions are still there.
Especially the emotions.

Visiting Fielding Park for the Pop Up Day…..
Tina and I met with the Fielding Park groundskeeper yesterday to start planning for our Pop Up Wedding Day Event on August 25th, 2019.
This place is stunning. The grass, the landscaping, the pond and trails make it more than and ideal location to get married at. All we need is good weather….and if not, we got a back up plan. The Fielding Park building is air conditioned and very spacious, not to mention some very cool architecture.
Fielding Park in the summer…
From a few years ago. I’ve taken many wedding photographs at Fielding Park over the years. It’s darn near perfect, with the trees, grass, forest and pond nearby. And the main building is great too, since, well, we need washroom facilities and shelter in case of rain.
Hoping it doesn’t rain on August 24th when we run our first ever Pop Up Wedding event out at Fielding Park…we’re already half booked!
Fielding Park for wedding ceremony and photos…
Fielding Park is an excellent location for both a ceremony and to capture some wedding photos. We decided on this location for our first ever Sudbury Pop Up Wedding event August 24/2019
Here’s a photo from a few years ago….
A Tamarindo, Costa Rica wedding…engagement portraits on the beach after the wedding day.
Some samples from Dana and Zak’s wedding, down here in Costa Rica, where we spend three months in the winter. Since Tina is a legal wedding officiant in Ontario, she can’t really ‘legally’ marry couples in other countries. But, there is a creative work around solution. Ask us.
What’s important is having someone like her, and myself, with the expertise to perform a personal and well planned ceremony, and, of course, capturing high quality (no cell phone images here) wedding photographs…

Should I have live music at my wedding?
Should I have live music at my wedding?
That depends….are you willing to spend the extra money required for musicians?
Assuming you love the idea of live music it’s important to appreciate the skill and level of competence professionals bring to the game. Likely this will also be reflected in the cost. But the old axiom is true: you get what you pay for.
Music is essential. Whether you want live or recorded is up to you. Either way, do it right. We have and only recommend the best musicians that we have personally worked with over the years. You can trust us to help you make the best choice for music. If using recorded music, you want a top notch sound system without feedback, distortion or muffled sound.
Bad music experience will forever taint your memories.
